While assisting her Los Angles talent manager, in exchange for acting classes at the famous The Improv on Melrose, Susan learned about the process of Managing talent and submitting actors for projects as well as teaching the new actors in the agency film acting. However, she put her acting and teaching career on the back burner after having children of her own, but soon after, realized she could not stay away and moved back to North Carolina where she opened The Actors Workshop in Wilmington in 1993. After 10 years of teaching in Wilmington, family illness took her to Fayetteville where she opened The Highland Performing Arts Center in 2003 and taught hundreds of students in Film Acting with Audition Technique, Commercials, and Scene Study as well as Musical Theatre. In addition to teaching acting, Susan directed 13 shows within 5 years. During the summer of 2008, Susan moved back to her favorite town of Wilmington and with much encouragement from local casting agents, she opened STW Talent Agency in January 2009. |
